Les projets de remplacement, comme \u00ab Basel Nord \u00bb, restent controvers\u00e9s et, \u00e0 ce jour, aucune solution de substitution concr\u00e8te n\u2019est encore assur\u00e9e. Cela repr\u00e9sente un risque majeur pour le secteur commercial. C\u2019est pourquoi Commerce Suisse appelle \u00e0 examiner les alternatives portuaires viables et au d\u00e9veloppement de sc\u00e9narios concrets, afin de garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d\u2019approvisionnement en biens commerciaux.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le Westquai perd sa fonction portuaire<br \/>\n<\/strong>En 1999 d\u00e9j\u00e0, le Conseil d&rsquo;\u00c9tat de B\u00e2le-Ville avait d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de ne pas prolonger les droits de superficie sur le Westquai au-del\u00e0 de 2029, en vue d\u2019une r\u00e9affectation future de la zone \u00e0 des projets d\u2019am\u00e9nagement urbain. Or, cette d\u00e9cision concerne un secteur central du port rh\u00e9nan de B\u00e2le, qui occupe aujourd\u2019hui un r\u00f4le important dans le transbordement de marchandises.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aucune nouvelle solution en vue<br \/>\n<\/strong>Pour compenser la suppression du Westquai, le projet de terminal trimodal \u00ab Basel Nord \u00bb avec le bassin portuaire 3 a \u00e9t\u00e9 envisag\u00e9. Toutefois, sa r\u00e9alisation reste incertaine : les d\u00e9cisions politiques sont encore en suspens et le financement par la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration n&rsquo;est toujours pas confirm\u00e9. De plus, les zones prot\u00e9g\u00e9es sur le plan \u00e9cologique compliquent la planification. L&rsquo;\u00e9conomie portuaire recherche d&rsquo;autres possibilit\u00e9s, mais aucune n&rsquo;a encore \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9e \u00e0 ce jour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les alternatives \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tranger sont compliqu\u00e9es et co\u00fbteuses<br \/>\n<\/strong>Le recours \u00e0 des ports \u00e9trangers impliquerait un transbordement vers des camions et des formalit\u00e9s douani\u00e8res fastidieuses. Quant au rail, il ne dispose actuellement pas des capacit\u00e9s n\u00e9cessaires pour absorber les volumes trait\u00e9s au Westquai. Dans ce contexte, Commerce Suisse demande que des solutions portuaires alternatives soient s\u00e9rieusement envisag\u00e9es, afin de garantir \u00e0 la fois le transport r\u00e9gional de marchandises et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 d&rsquo;approvisionnement.<\/p>\n\n                                            <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n\n                                    <div
